The Role
The Select Committees Engagement Team is an expert and enthusiastic public engagement team based in the UK Parliament Outreach and Engagement Service.
The purpose of the role is to support select committees to increase and diversify the people and communities they engage with. The post-holder will be expected to independently plan, deliver and evaluate creative face-to-face engagement activities; involve and influence stakeholders; write engaging communications; work to tight deadlines and manage multiple projects at once; and act as an ambassador for the wider Outreach and Engagement Service.
The post will work to support select committees in both the House of Commons and the House of Lords.
The Person
The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience:
- Experience of organising and facilitating face-to-face consultation or engagement activities, reaching a range of different audiences
- Proven experience of project management, from initiation to evaluation, setting high standards for delivery with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent written communication skills with experience of tailoring your language and messages for different audiences
