We are seeking an enthusiastic, flexible individual for this role of a Revenues Administration Officer!
The role of Revenues Administration Officer will involve processing incoming and outgoing post and email, assisting customers and suppliers with enquiries and providing administrative support to the Revenues team and managers.
This position is based at the Civic Centre in Uxbridge, and involves assisting and supporting colleagues in administrative tasks. This includes scanning and indexing documents, supporting managers with reports, identifying cost effective changes and contributing to the current Team Plan. You will also be expected to ensure that policies, procedures and business processes are followed to ensure that all daily and periodic tasks are completed to the required standard. About the person
Previous experience in administration and a financial environment would be an excellent fit for this position. The role will require good time keeping, maintaining and updating records, high levels or accuracy and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and business processes. Other important skills would include: · accurate data input · strong customer service skills · efficiency and effectiveness · strong communication skills · using initiative in decision making · teamwork and relationship building · attention to detail
You will be working with all levels of London Borough of Hillingdon employees, business partners, members of the public and both public and private bodies, so it is essential that you have strong communication and customer service skills. You will be responsible for ensuring business processes, policies and procedures are being followed.
You must be motivated to deliver results, and will be expected to take ownership of your personal development, as well as working to ensure that delivery of the current Team Plan. You would also be expected to act in compliance with the Data Protection Act, and gain knowledge of relative legislation in order to deal with basic Revenues enquiries. Experience of using Excel and other IT packages would also be essential.
The Revenues Administration Officer is a key role, and we are looking for somebody who can work flexible hours, as the service demands. The work can be repetitive, and it is essential that you are consistently accurate, and pay high attention to detail.
(Please note for this vacancy you will need at least a Grade C in five GCSE’s, including Maths and English or equivalent)
You may be required to work evenings and weekends on occasion. Additionally, you may be required to work at various outstations .
