Genesis Care and Support has put in place a growth strategy in place which sets out how we intend to grow our business over the next five years. The strategy reflects our ambition to develop more specialist housing, review our asset base, define and develop our integrated housing/care and support service offers, win new business through tenders and procurement processes and provide property based solutions to commissioners and customers.
This post will help us make these ambitions happen. Working directly to the New Business Manager, you will contribute to adding to our portfolio of services and increasing our revenue streams by writing bids for tendered support and care services and remodelled services. We also want to develop our business by building more extra care and specialist schemes and remodelling our asset base – you will contribute to business proposals for internal and external partners.
You will hold responsibility for monitoring portals to inform the business of new opportunities, completing summary reports and Pre-Qualifying Questionnaires, managing the internal bid process and contributing to the development of high quality tender bids – mainly by writing well structured, persuasive narrative but also by contributing to service modelling. You will work across the business, but mainly with Operational Teams to submit well evidenced proposals which meet specification and quality requirements and are commercially viable. You will provide a business support solution to the department as needed, but in the main will be focused on tenders and new business proposals.
You will have some experience of care and support services or working with vulnerable groups and you are an excellent communicator, able to build and maintain great partnerships both internally and externally. You can produce excellent written work to tight deadlines and can manage competing priorities.
We are looking for someone creative who is interested in growing their career in Business Development and who has specific experience of writing reports/proposals to a high standard. Excellent organisational and IT skills are also essential.
In addition to the base salary, Genesis offers a generous benefits package including a competitive pension scheme, annual leave, life assurance, training & development and flexible working.
Genesis is a commercially minded organisation that retains a strong social heart and we are looking for people whose values align with ours. We know that standing still is not an option and have an ambitious programme of change that underpins our 2015-20 corporate strategy. To achieve our ambitions, we need people with the skills, resilience and ethos to drive continuous improvement. At Genesis we will give you the opportunity to make a difference, enhance your career and seize the benefits that come from working for a modern progressive organisation.
